Doing it in the Park, 9/26/21





Doing it in the Park, named after the hook of legendary soul tune “Rock Creek Park” by The Blackbyrds, was a celebration of Soul and Funk music at the K-Bridge Park in Brooklyn, New York. The event featured vinyl sets from eleven DJs including Chairman Mao, DJ Mishap, DJ Mihoko, and more, enjoyed Jamaican soundsystem style, with sound provided by Chanter the Timeless Sound. Following the musical presentation, attendees enjoyed a free screening of Summer of Soul, which features footage of the Harlem Cultural Festival of 1969.




Doing It In the Park featured on The Release, an entertainment program produced in Kingston, Jamaica and broadcast across the Caribbean, 10/8/21.

Murder She Wrote, 10/10/21


Named after famed Chaka Demus & Pliers song of 1992, the ethos of the Murder She Wrote party is to celebrate female DJs with an emphasis on sounds of and derivitive of the Caribbean, including dancehall, afrobeats, moombahton, UK garage, global bass, amapiano, and reggaeton.

In October 2021 I produced the first Murder She Wrote party at Café Erzulie in Brooklyn, NY. The event featured DJs EDICA+ and Vonnie Mack, and was sponsored by Captain Morgan.
